I hate meal prep. Meal prep is the hardest part of my training and weight-loss journey. There I admitted it. I would rather do 100 burpees for time than prep my meals for the week. I live with two picky eaters (husband & son) and my oldest and I eat part sizes for children. On the other side, I work 7 days away from home and then back for 7 days. Complicated meal prep? YES!
So how do I manage it? I make different meals for myself to take with me out-of-town and meals for my family while I am gone. Easier said than done. Grocery shopping can be a nightmare but I prefer to have pick-up or delivery. Pick-up and delivery cut down on the time I spend away from prepping.
Staple Items
Because I am deep in training and in a challenge, there are some staple items that are a must. My staple items center around my macro goals. These items can be changed to fit your macros or likes. Make sure to avoid canola oil, vegetable oil, & seed oils. These items can cause inflammation especially in those of use starting perimenopause.
